My Top Five Favourite Crystals

My Top Five Favourite Crystals

1. Lemurian Seed Quartz

Lemurian seed crystals are perfect tools for lightworkers. Lemurians hold a blessing of unconditional love for the earth as we enter a profound vibrational shift. They remind lightworkers to attend to their evolution as well as facilitating that of others. Ascended like a latter, accessing inner and multi-dimensional states, Lemurians teach we are many-dimensioned beings and give an objective view of prior lifetimes. Piercing illusions of separateness in physical incarnation, they remind that healing is re-membering our spiritual selves.

Re-awaking to spiritual training and healing abilities, they consciously reconnect past knowledge. Lemurians facilitate deep communication between physical and subtle levels of being, grounding vibrational shifts into the physical.

Mentally, Lemurians teach that thoughts are creative and take on form and harnessed to right intent and self-belief, manifest full potential. To re-enter a significant dream or to obtain clarity and insight and for conscious dreaming or dreaming up a new reality, sleep with one under your pillow.

Pink Lemurian is strongly heart-centred, attuned to the pink flame of unconditional, compassionate love, removing emotional and karmic debris from the heart chakra and emotional body, taking it to a purer vibrational state and bringing universal love.
It removes emotional ties and dissolves misused or abused heart-energy imprints from Lemuria or Atlantis, facilitating emotional independence in your present life.

How To Use Your Crystals

How To Use Your Crystals

Wearing Your Crystals

For centuries gemstones have been worn or carried for protection. While wearing a crystal cannot change your circumstances, a crystal that supports certain attitudes or behaviours can help you to help yourself to change certain aspects in your life for the better.

Black, metallic, brown or red stones are useful for grounding, which influences practicality and survival instincts.

Multi-coloured stones, such as labradorite or peacock ore, are excellent at preventing other people from draining your energy.

Pink stones, such as Kunzite or Rose Quartz, emphasize calm, empathy and understanding, so can reduce the risk of situations escalating out of your control.

Alternate the stones you wear from day to day. Every so often take a rest from wearing or carrying your crystals. This will help to prevent you from becoming dependant on their influences and will give you a better appreciation of their healing powers. All stones that you wear or carry should be cleansed regularly to remove the imbalances that they have picked up from you and your environment.

Cleansing and Charging

Running Water and Sunlight

Hold the stone under running water and visualize imbalances flowing away. place in sunlight to dry. (Some crystals are water-soluble and/or fade in sunlight, so be careful.)

Incense Smoke

Burn some incense and pass the stone several times though the smoke, while visualizing the imbalances away. My favourite incense is white sage.

Crystal Clusters

Place the stone on any larger crystal cluster to restore natural levels of energy.

Breath

Exhale sharply over the crystal and imagine imbalances being blown away.

Moon

The best and most effective way of cleansing and charging your stones, is by placing them in the light of the full moon.

Rose and Songbird - My Amethyst Items

Rose and Songbird - My Amethyst Items

I sell mostly wire wrapped crystals in my shop. I have a selection of Amethest points and tumble stones, amongst my items which I am very proud of.

~

This is a gorgeous raw point that I wrapped in silver plated wire. It is on a silver plated chain and has a silver tone pentacle pentant. This is probably my favorite of all the Amethyst I have bought in the last 12 months, it has such charcter. I love working with raw crystals.
(Price: £21.50)

~

This is also a very special Amethyst point. It is very big and heavy so I made it in to a long necklace, that falls just above the navel. It is wrapped in silver plated wire and hung on black waxed cotton cord. Although not raw like my previous item it is still a joy to look at, as in the light, there are rainbow glints to be seen in it.
(Price: £23.50)

~

This necklace has two Amethyst tumble chips included in the silver tone half moon and pentacle pendant. The chain is silver plated. I love the shape of this moon pentant. I have plenty more if you want me to make something custom to you. Just convo me on my Etsy account (Web address at the end of this post) and we will see what we can design together.
(Price: £14.50)

~

This item is a seven stone Amethyst chip necklace. It has seven tumble chips on a unplated copper wire bar, on a copper tone chain. I also sell similar seven stone necklaces, with different stones, in my shop.
(Price:£12.50)

My First Post - Introductions

Introductions

So I've started up this blog to promote my Etsy shop, Rose and Songbird. I will mainly be posting about my shop, but also about anything that takes my fancy really. I apologise in advance for bad spelling or grammar as I'm pretty rubbish at English if I'm honest.

I currently work in a part time, retail job but maybe, just maybe one day, I can make my way just making and selling jewellery. I have a great looking, hardworking and long suffering husband and a beautiful, lively, crazy and cuddly 2 and a 1/2 year old boy.

When I Started Making Jewellery

Since a teenager I've been pulling apart my jewellery to customise it to my style, but never thought of making jewellery to sell or to give as gifts. Not until about two years ago.

I suffered from depression as a teenager and even though I used to self harm, I keep this a secret from most of my friends and parents. Self harming is like a habit. A habit that sometimes you can break but always seems to come back. You get out of the habit but give in once, it's hard to stop again. It would go and come back but the 'attacks' seemed to happen further and further apart from each other. Once a had my little boy, it came back again and this time was very difficult to hide and I felt at my lowest every single day. I was diagnosed with post-natal depression and had once a week 'Phone Therapy', (which was very unhelpful) and attended once a week a group called 'Craft Attack'. This was held at a local children's centre and congregated post-natal mums to chat, sit quietly, make crafts, eat lunch and drink coffee, while your little ones were looked after a few rooms away in a creche.
I am, at the best of times, a very shy and unconifident person and find it especially hard to socialise in groups. But I found this group very helpful and the lovely ladies that run it so friendly. I had been there a quite a number of weeks and a lady called Jenny who sat with us and helped us make crafts, told me I had a talent in all things delicate and crafty and suggested to make jewellery.

At first I made simple costume jewellery but have now progressed into wire wrapped crystals. Making and selling is all a learning curve, one I intend to keep practising and improving in.
